How does automatic subtitle detection work?
The browser searches the lower part of each screenshot for concentrated high-contrast text-like edges. It does not read or upload the words.
What if the selection is wrong?
Use the top and bottom controls on that screenshot or click “Find subtitle” to try again. The preview and export always use the same visible band.
Do the screenshots need to be the same size?
Matching screenshots work best. If widths differ, later subtitle strips are scaled to the width of the first screenshot before export.
